Urgently Required Fire Proofing Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Fireproofing Paints Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, specifying, and implementing fireproofing paint solutions for steel structures in compliance with relevant codes, standards, and project requirements.

*Key Responsibilities:*

1. *Design and Specification:*
– Develop fireproofing paint specifications for steel structures based on project requirements and applicable codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, UL, ASTM).
– Conduct calculations to determine the required thickness and type of fireproofing paint for different steel elements.

2. *Material Selection:*
– Evaluate and select fireproofing paint products that meet project specifications and performance requirements.
– Ensure selected products comply with relevant fire safety standards and regulations.

3. *Application and Installation:*
– Provide guidelines and oversight for the application of fireproofing paints, ensuring compliance with manufacturer recommendations and project specifications.
– Collaborate with contractors and applicators to ensure proper installation and quality control.

4. *Quality Assurance:*
– Conduct inspections and tests to verify that fireproofing paint applications meet project requirements and standards.
– Address any issues or defects identified during inspections and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

5. *Documentation and Reporting:*
– Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of fireproofing paint designs, specifications, and application processes.
– Provide reports on compliance, quality, and any issues encountered during the project.

6. *Collaboration and Communication:*
– Work closely with project teams, including structural engineers, architects, and contractors, to ensure integration of fireproofing solutions with overall project design and execution.
– Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders regarding fireproofing requirements and solutions.

*Requirements:*

– Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
– Proven experience in fireproofing or coatings engineering, particularly with steel structures.
– Strong knowledge of fire safety codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NFPA, UL, ASTM).
– Experience with fireproofing paint products and application methods.
– Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
– Strong communication and documentation skills.

*Preferred Qualifications:*

– Professional Engineer (PE) license.
– Additional certifications in fire protection engineering or coatings inspection.
– Experience with project management and quality control.
