QC Inspector - Static Equipment (Aramco And CBT Apporval)
Required Qualifications and Approvals
To qualify for this position, candidates typically need specific certifications and Aramco approvals:
Educational Background: A relevant technical diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering is usually required.
Experience: A minimum of six years of inspection experience in manufacturing facilities, with at least two years in static equipment inspection within the oil and gas industry, is standard.
Aramco Approval: The candidate must be an Aramco-approved inspector, which often involves an internal application and authorization process to take a qualification exam.
CBT Passed: The candidate must have successfully passed the Saudi Aramco Computer-Based Test (CBT) specifically for Static Equipment Inspection, with a typical passing grade of 80%.
Professional Certifications: Certifications from recognized bodies are often mandatory or preferred, such as:
API 510 – Pressure Vessel Inspector
API 653 – Aboveground Storage Tank Inspector
ASNT NDT Level II Certification (RT, UT, PT, MT)
CSWIP (Certification Scheme for Welding Inspection Personnel) or AWS (American Welding Society) certification is a plus
