A vegetable salesman is responsible for buying, displaying, and selling fresh vegetables while keeping the stall clean and customers satisfied.​

Main selling duties
Buy vegetables from suppliers or wholesale market and bring them to the shop or stall.​

Decide which vegetables to sell, how much stock to keep, and set the selling price.​

Weigh vegetables correctly, take payment, and give correct balance to customers.​

Customer and display duties
Arrange and refill vegetables neatly so the stall looks full and attractive.​

Answer customer questions, help them find items, and be polite to build regular customers.​

Remove spoiled or damaged vegetables from display so only good quality items are sold.​

Cleaning and hygiene duties
Keep the shop or cart clean, including floors, tables, baskets, and weighing area.​

Store vegetables properly (shade/refrigeration) and pack them safely at closing time.​
