Job Summary
The Catering Manager is responsible for Marketing, planning, organizing, and managing all catering activities to ensure efficient operations, exceptional service delivery, and customer satisfaction. This role involves overseeing catering events from initial client contact through execution, managing staff, controlling budgets, and ensuring high standards of food quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
Event & Client Management
• Plan, coordinate, and execute catering events of various sizes (corporate, social, private).
• Meet with clients to gather requirements, prepare proposals, and tailor services to client needs.
• Develop customized event packages, menus, and pricing.

Operational Oversight
• Oversee day-to-day catering operations, including food preparation, presentation, and service.
• Coordinate logistics for delivery, setup, and breakdown at event venues.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage ordering of supplies and equipment.

Team Leadership
• Recruit, train, supervise, and schedule catering staff (servers, chefs, assistants).
• Conduct staff meetings to communicate objectives, updates, and performance expectations.
• Motivate the team to achieve high performance and service standards.

Financial & Administrative
• Prepare and manage catering budgets, control costs, and track financial performance.
• Negotiate with suppliers for favorable pricing and quality products.
• Maintain accurate financial and event records.

Sales & Marketing
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow revenue.
• Maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business.

Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, Culinary Arts, or related field (preferred).
• Previous experience in catering, events, hospitality, or food service management.
Skills
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Excellent customer service and client-relation skills.
• Good organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
• Financial acumen and basic budgeting skills.
• Knowledge of food safety and health regulations.
• Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
