Finance Manager / Chief Accountant (Hands-on, Multi-Business)

About the role
We are a small group operating three businesses in KSA:
Pest Control
Restaurant & Catering
Fruits & Vegetables Trading
We need a hands-on finance leader to organize the finance function, tighten controls, improve cashflow visibility, and deliver clear reporting. This is a challenging, build-and-fix environment (not a “perfect system already exists” role).
Key responsibilities
Own day-to-day accounting supervision across all businesses (A/R, A/P, payroll, reconciliations)
Prepare monthly financials (P&L, balance sheet, cashflow) and management reports
VAT/ZATCA compliance, filings, invoicing compliance, and audit readiness
Budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow planning (weekly + monthly)
Cost control & profitability improvement, especially for:
Restaurant: COGS, recipe/portion costing, inventory cycles, wastage control
Trading: purchases, inventory valuation, shrinkage/spoilage, margin tracking
Services (pest control): contract profitability, job costing, receivables follow-up
Build simple SOPs and internal controls (approvals, payment process, petty cash, procurement controls)
Work with owners to clean up, standardize, and scale reporting across entities/branches
Requirements
Experience in accounting/finance (KSA experience preferred)
Strong in reconciliations, reporting, and compliance (VAT/ZATCA; Zakat if applicable)
Experience in F&B and/or Trading is a major advantage
Comfortable working in a lean environment and doing real work (not only delegating)
ERP/accounting system experience (Odoo / Qoyod / QuickBooks / Xero / SAP or similar)
Good Excel skills (Power BI is a plus)
Transferable iqama preferred
