Lead Mechanical Engineer – 5 Nos
JOB SPECIFICATION/ DESCRIPTION:
Key Responsibilities
•
Plan and execute mechanical asset walkdowns, performing systematic physical verification of rotating and static equipment.
•
Validate asset tags against mechanical deliverables such as P&IDs, GA drawings, datasheets, and vendor manuals.
•
Review and approve mechanical documentation, ensuring correct status and enforcing version control across engineering packages.
•
Identify and document data gaps, including missing tags, mismatched metadata, and incomplete records; define corrective actions and drive closure.
•
Validate mechanical metadata (equipment type, capacity, design pressure/temperature, serial numbers) and link assets to corresponding documentation for complete traceability.
•
Coordinate with electrical and instrumentation teams to ensure consistency and completeness of asset data across all disciplines.
•
Engage with area owners and client stakeholders to resolve technical issues, secure missing documents, and obtain necessary approvals.
•
Prepare and issue discipline-specific QA/QC reports and dashboards; maintain accurate mechanical asset records using Microsoft Excel and other MS tools.
Required Qualifications
•
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
•
10+ years of experience in relevant field including leadership in mechanical asset verification and documentation control.
•
Strong expertise in rotating/static equipment and mechanical deliverables (P&IDs, GA drawings, datasheets, manuals).
Preferred Technical Skills
•
Standards: API, ASME, and owner TAG/identification standards.
•
Tools: CMMS/EAM (SAP, Maximo), advanced MS Excel.
•
Strong stakeholder leadership and communication skills
