Estimation & Design Engineer (HVAC & MEP Works)

Position: Senior Design & Estimation Engineer (MEP Works)

Brief Job Responsibilities includes:

Design Engineering:

• Designing the given Mechanical system as per the applicable local & international codes & standards based on client requirement and drawing the design in AutoCad / Rivet as per the applicable standards.

• Design Calculations, HAP, Heat Load Calculations, cfm, pipe sizing, pipe water velocity calculation, pump capacity, equipment selection options, etc.

• Prepare value engineering options to optimize costs.

• Coordinate with project and design teams to verify constructability and cost accuracy.

• Develop detailed project schedules using MS Project or MS Excel.

• Define project milestones, critical paths, and dependencies.

• Allocate resources (manpower, materials, and equipment) to schedule activities.

• Integrate the schedule of MEP works with ongoing civil and architectural works.

Cost Estimation:

• Review tender documents, specifications, drawings, and BOQs for Firefighting, Fire-alarm, Plumbing systems or Steel Fabrication.

• Identify scope, quantities, and materials required for bidding.

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs (QTO) from provided drawings from clients for estimation.

• Must have & maintain data base for the rates of the items for MEP system.

• Obtain quotations from suppliers/subcontractors for equipment and materials (e.g., sprinklers, cabling, pumps, etc.). Analyze and compare technical & commercial offers from vendors.

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, subcontracting, and overheads.

• Ensure compliance with tender requirements and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, etc.).

• Monitor progress and update schedules regularly for material and manpower usage against planned values.

• Assist in preparing project cash flow and forecast reports.

• Preparation of Reports/ data/ schedules as required by the Management.

Key Qualities:

• Effective communication and coordination.

• Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple tenders/projects simultaneously.

• KPIs: Design & Estimation for small area: 0-2 day; medium size area:1-3 days; large area: 2-5 days. To be able to execute design & estimation of multiple projects simultaneously i.e., 2 to 5 inquiries per day based on the size of area as above and scope required.

Renumeration: Salary 4000-6500 + FAT & Medical as per Company policy.

Joining: Immediate.
