Washing Equipment Technician

The Washing Equipment Technician is responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing washing and sterilization equipment to ensure proper hygiene, sanitation, and functionality. This role ensures that all washing equipment (e.g., industrial washers, sterilizers, pressure washers, or automated cleaning systems) meets operational and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate various types of washing and sterilizing equipment used in cleaning tools, equipment, or medical instruments.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs on washing machines and related systems.
• Monitor equipment performance and troubleshoot mechanical or electrical malfunctions.
• Clean, calibrate, and test equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Maintain accurate records of service logs, repairs, and maintenance schedules.
• Follow and enforce safety procedures, health regulations, and company policies.
• Coordinate with vendors or external technicians for major repairs or installations.
• Provide training or guidance to staff on proper equipment usage and care.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, tools, and spare parts.
• Respond promptly to service calls and equipment-related issues.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience working with washing, sterilization, or industrial cleaning equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory compliance (e.g., OSHA, CDC, GMP, or infection control standards depending on the industry).
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Proficient in using hand tools, diagnostic tools, and basic computer software.
