Job Summary
The Business Development Executive (BDE) will play a pivotal role in identifying, pursuing, and securing maintenance service contracts for Jelz International’s fire protection systems. This position involves building strong client relationships, understanding client needs, and promoting our comprehensive maintenance services to ensure compliance with Saudi Fire Code, SASO, and international standards (e.g., NFPA). The BDE will collaborate with sales, technical, and operations teams to deliver tailored solutions, prepare compelling proposals, and close contracts. The ideal candidate is a proactive, strategic professional with excellent communication skills and a proven track record in B2B sales, preferably within the fire safety or related industry in Saudi Arabia.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation and Prospecting
Identify and target potential clients in Riyadh and across Saudi Arabia, including commercial properties, industrial facilities, healthcare institutions, educational facilities, hospitality sectors, and government entities.
Conduct market research to uncover new business opportunities, focusing on sectors with high demand for fire safety maintenance services.
Utilize industry networks, referrals, trade shows, and digital platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, industry forums) to generate high-quality leads.
Maintain a robust pipeline of prospects and track all lead activities using CRM software.
Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers, such as facility managers, property owners, procurement teams, and safety compliance officers.
Conduct regular follow-ups with existing clients to ensure satisfaction, secure contract renewals, and identify opportunities for upselling additional services.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving concerns, and ensuring a seamless customer experience.
Sales and Contract Acquisition
Develop and deliver persuasive proposals and presentations tailored to client needs, emphasizing the value of Jelz International’s maintenance services (e.g., routine inspections, testing, repairs, and compliance with Saudi Fire Code, SASO, and NFPA standards).
Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and service-level agreements (SLAs) to secure profitable deals while meeting client expectations.
Collaborate with the technical team to ensure proposed maintenance solutions are feasible and aligned with client requirements and local regulations.
Close deals efficiently, ensuring all contracts are documented accurately and comply with company policies and Saudi legal standards.
Market and Competitive Analysis
Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory updates (e.g., Saudi Fire Code, SASO), and advancements in fire protection technologies to position Jelz International as a market leader.
Monitor competitors’ offerings, pricing, and strategies to identify opportunities for differentiation and competitive advantage.
Provide feedback to management on market demands and client preferences to inform service enhancements or new offerings.
Collaboration and Reporting
Work closely with the operations and technical teams to ensure seamless delivery of maintenance services post-contract signing.
Provide regular updates on sales activities, pipeline status, and contract wins to the Business Development Manager/Sales Director.
Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, client interactions, and contract details in the company’s CRM system.
Contribute to the development of marketing materials, case studies, and client testimonials to support business development efforts.
Compliance and Industry Knowledge
Ensure all proposals and contracts comply with Saudi Fire Code, SASO standards, and international regulations (e.g., NFPA 25, NFPA 72).
Stay updated on fire safety codes, standards, and best practices to provide clients with informed recommendations and maintain credibility.
Qualifications and Skills
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in B2B sales or business development, preferably in the fire protection, safety, or facility management industry in Saudi Arabia.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, particularly in securing service contracts.
Technical Knowledge
Basic understanding of fire protection systems (e.g., sprinklers, fire alarms, extinguishers, suppression systems) and their maintenance requirements.
Familiarity with Saudi Fire Code, SASO standards, and international fire safety regulations (e.g., NFPA, OSHA) is highly desirable.
Ability to learn technical aspects of fire protection systems to effectively communicate with clients and internal teams.
Skills and Competencies
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken) to engage with diverse stakeholders in Saudi Arabia.
Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a consultative sales approach.
Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Analytical mindset with the ability to conduct market research and interpret data to drive sales strategies.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent time management and organizational skills to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
Additional Requirements
Valid Saudi driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites across Riyadh and other regions of Saudi Arabia as needed.
Ability to attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions, which may include occasional evenings or weekends.
