Advisor - Longterm Planning - Utility/Energy Sector (only)

Minimum Experience Requirements :
– 10+ years of Experience in Utility Projects, strategic planning, Business Development or related field.
– Experience in Utilities or Energy Sector planning, managing utility projects, particularly in water, power, and wastewater sectors, strongly focusing on project sourcing and evaluation.
– Experience in conducting detailed Feasibility Studies and Developing robust business cases.
– Strong understanding of utility projects’ Techno-Commercial, financial, and operational aspects.

Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Strategic Management, Economics, or a related field.
Key Duties & Responsibility :
– Ensure effective cascading of the departmental strategy into operational business plans, to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration with other interfacing strategies.
– Contribute to the development of client’s Long-Term Strategy and associated strategic plan, considering market dynamics, competitor landscapes, and emerging growth opportunities to ensure a competitive advantage.
– Provide strategic expertise to leadership on future business scenarios, helping to shape the direction of client’s long-term business goals.
– Conduct market research and analysis to inform the long-term planning process, ensuring the company’s strategies are robust and adaptable to evolving market conditions.
– Design and develop scenarios to determine the potential impact on client’s operations and prepare risk strategies to mitigate these effectively.
– Prepare detailed reports on findings and forecasts, providing strategic recommendations to support management with business decision-making.
– Explore and evaluate potential business growth opportunities, both within and outside the Royal Commission (RC) areas, using client’s New Growth Opportunity Evaluation Procedure, to capitalize on these.
– Provide recommendations based on market dynamics, regulatory changes, technological advancements and customer needs, to identify and assess opportunities for new business, ensuring alignment with long-term supply and demand plans.
– Provide expert advice on exploring strategic options for client’s joint ventures and integrating these with client’s overall supply planning efforts to ensure long-term viability and success.
– Liaise with relevant stakeholders to build high levels of trust and understanding, while upholding the highest standards of business ethics and integrity and promptly addressing critical issues, contributing to the realization of client’s growth agenda.
– Lead the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes, and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement, and cost reduction.
