Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation / Control Engineering
Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) approval is mandatory
Minimum 8 years of experience in large power projects & synchronous condenser projects
Strong background in construction, installation, testing & commissioning of I&C systems
Proficient in MS Office & MIS
Excellent English communication & leadership skills
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise construction, erection, testing, and commissioning of I&C systems and equipment to ensure full compliance with EPC contract requirements.
Review EPC contractor’s drawings, documents, work plans, and schedules for instrumentation and control systems.
Monitor site activities, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and performance standards.
Witness testing and commissioning activities, including reliability runs and performance testing.
Verify and approve pre-commissioning checklists, I&C calibration records, and test results.
Support project QA/QC and ensure compliance with method statements and ITPs.
Advise the owner (SEC) on I&C-related technical issues during construction and commissioning.
Participate in progress meetings, prepare weekly/monthly reports, and highlight deviations or corrective actions.
Coordinate with the EPC contractor, design team, and other discipline engineers for technical resolutions.
Review and ensure compliance with international standards and codes such as IEC, ISA, NFPA, NEC, API, and Saudi Grid Code.
