Key Duties and Responsibilities

Patient Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct initial and ongoing thorough medical assessments and physical examinations in the patient’s home to diagnose both acute and chronic conditions.

Treatment Planning and Management: Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on patient progress and diagnostic data analysis.

Medication Management: Prescribe medications, monitor their effectiveness and potential side effects, and educate patients and caregivers on proper usage and scheduling.

Care Coordination: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, specialists, physical therapists, and social workers, to ensure coordinated and holistic care.

Disease Prevention & Education: Emphasize preventive care strategies, health promotion (nutrition, exercise, hygiene), and educate patients and families about managing medical conditions and preventing complications.

Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and current patient medical records in compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.

Palliative Care Support: Monitor disease progression and provide supportive or palliative care to enhance the patient’s comfort and quality of life if needed.

Emergency Response: Be available for emergency home visits and provide immediate medical care in urgent situations.

Required Qualifications and Skills
Education: A Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
Licensing & Certification: Valid state medical license and board certification in Internal Medicine, valid Saudi Council License.
Experience: Prior clinical experience, preferably in a primary care, hospital, or home health setting.

Skills:
Strong clinical knowledge and judgment.
Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
Ability to work independently without immediate team support and make autonomous clinical decisions.
Organizational and time management skills to manage a caseload of patients effectively.
Physical ability to perform patient assessments and potentially assist with patient transfers or movement.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for home visits.
