Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials – Senior Functional Consultant

Role Summary
The Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials Functional Consultant is responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting Oracle Fusion Financials modules, ensuring alignment with business processes, statutory requirements, and Oracle best practices. The role involves end-to-end solution design, stakeholder engagement, functional leadership, and support across the implementation lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
Functional Implementation & Solution Design
• Lead functional design and configuration of Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials modules including:
o General Ledger (GL)
o Accounts Payable (AP)
o Accounts Receivable (AR)
o Cash Management (CM)
o Fixed Assets (FA)
o Expense Management
• Conduct fit-gap analysis and propose standard, scalable solutions.
• Configure Chart of Accounts, Ledgers, Legal Entities, Business Units, and accounting rules.
• Define subledger accounting (SLA) and financial controls.

Business Process & Stakeholder Engagement
• Work closely with Finance, Procurement, Tax, and Audit teams to understand requirements.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications and solution designs.
• Conduct CRP, UAT, and end-user training sessions.
• Provide functional guidance to business users and project stakeholders.

Integrations & Data Management
• Define functional requirements for integrations with:
o Procurement
o HR / Payroll
o Banks and third-party systems
o Legacy ERPs
• Support data migration activities, including:
o Opening balances
o Suppliers, customers, and assets
• Validate reconciliation and financial accuracy post-migration.

Reporting, Compliance & Controls
• Configure financial and statutory reporting using:
o Oracle OTBI
o Financial Reporting Studio (FRS)
• Ensure compliance with:
o IFRS / GAAP
o Local statutory and tax regulations
o Internal controls and audit requirements
• Support period close, reconciliation, and audit activities.

Support & Continuous Improvement
• Provide post-go-live support and issue resolution.
• Analyze defects and recommend process improvements.
• Support Oracle quarterly updates and regression testing.
• Maintain solution documentation and knowledge transfer.

Required Skills & Experience
Functional & Domain Skills
• Strong hands-on experience in Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials
• Solid understanding of end-to-end Record-to-Report (R2R) processes
• Experience with multi-ledger, multi-currency, and multi-entity environments
• Knowledge of financial controls, approvals, and SoD

Technical & Tool Knowledge
• Oracle Fusion Setup & Maintenance
• Subledger Accounting (SLA)
• OTBI and Financial Reporting Studio
• Basic understanding of integrations (REST/SOAP, FBDI)

Soft Skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to lead workshops and explain complex concepts simply
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving ability
• Experience working in agile or waterfall ERP implementations

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or IT
• Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials certification (preferred)
• CA / CPA / CMA qualification (advantage)

Experience Level (Typical)
• Senior Consultant: 7+ years

Nice to Have
• Experience in regulated industries (Healthcare, Banking, Insurance, Government)
• Exposure to Oracle Fusion Procurement
