Precast Stockyard Foreman

1. JOB PURPOSE

To supervise and coordinate all activities in the stockyard, including the handling, storage, movement, and loading of precast concrete elements, ensuring safety, quality, and accuracy in inventory management.

2. Education – High school diploma or vocational training in logistics
Experience – Proven experience in precast yard operations
Certification – None
Computer Skills – Basic in MS Office

3. List of job Responsibilities

• Supervise the receiving, unloading, shifting, stacking, and dispatching of precast elements.
• Organize storage areas according to element types, project codes, and delivery schedules.
• Ensure proper handling of elements to avoid damage during transport, lifting, and storage.
• Coordinate with the production, QC, and transport departments regarding ready-for-delivery elements.
• Maintain daily records of stockyard inventory, element locations, and loading status.
• Direct yard personnel, including crane operators, riggers, and forklift drivers.
• Check and verify element markings, tags, and alignment with dispatch schedules.
• Monitor and enforce safety practices in the yard, especially during lifting and movement operations.
• Conduct regular inspections of storage racks, supports, and stacking arrangements.
• Report damages, delays, or inventory discrepancies to the Yard Supervisor or Production Manager.
• Assist in training new workers and ensuring proper use of lifting equipment and PPE.
