Protection Engineer – Live Substations-Preferably Indian/Nepali/Jordanian/Egyptian/Sri Lankan)
A newly established GIS & MV Factory in Saudi Arabia is seeking a highly skilled Protection Engineer with hands-on experience working in live substations.
If you are confident working in energized environments and have strong expertise in protection systems, this role is for you.
???? Key Responsibilities
Test, commission, and maintain protection relays in live substations
Configure and troubleshoot protection schemes:
Line, Transformer, Busbar, Feeder protection
Perform relay testing using advanced test kits (OMICRON / Megger)
Conduct secondary injection, primary injection, and functional testing
Analyze faults, relay operations, and disturbance records
Modify settings and ensure coordination with protection philosophy
Support outage planning and live system interventions safely
Ensure compliance with SEC / IEC standards and safety regulations
???? Requirements
BSc in Electrical Engineering
Proven experience in protection & control within live substations
Strong knowledge of protection relays (Siemens, ABB, GE, Schneider)
Hands-on experience with testing equipment (OMICRON, CMC, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret protection & control schemes
⭐ Preferred
SEC / Saudi Aramco approval
Experience in EHV / HV substations (132 kV+)
Strong fault analysis and troubleshooting skills
