Job Summary:
The QC Instrumentation Inspector is responsible for monitoring and inspecting instrumentation and control works at the site to ensure compliance with project specifications, engineering drawings, and applicable quality standards. The role focuses on installation, testing, calibration, and documentation of all instrumentation systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect and verify instrumentation installation as per approved drawings, data sheets, and standards.
Witness and document loop checking, functional testing, and calibration of instruments (transmitters, switches, control valves, etc.).
Check cable routing, glanding, termination, and proper tagging.
Ensure correct installation of field instruments, junction boxes, and control panels.
Review calibration certificates and test reports from vendors and subcontractors.
Coordinate with construction and commissioning teams to schedule inspections.
Ensure compliance with applicable international standards (e.g., IEC, ISA).
Prepare Inspection Requests (IRs), reports, and maintain proper QC documentation.
Report and follow up on non-conformities and ensure timely resolution.
Participate in quality audits and toolbox meetings as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in instrumentation QA/QC roles.
Experience in oil & gas, industrial, or commercial projects (non-Aramco).
Strong understanding of instrumentation drawings (loop diagrams, P&IDs, wiring diagrams).
Familiarity with international codes like IEC, ISA, or project-specific standards.
Good communication and reporting skills.
Proficient in MS Office and basic QC documentation practices.
