Job Summary:
A Steel Fixer, also known as a Rebar Worker, is responsible for cutting, bending, positioning, and securing steel bars or mesh in concrete forms to reinforce concrete structures. This role is crucial in construction projects such as buildings, bridges, roads, and tunnels.

Key Responsibilities:
• Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Cut and shape steel bars and mesh using hand tools, power tools, and cutting/bending machines.
• Position and fix reinforcement bars/mesh in formwork for concrete structures.
• Secure steel reinforcement using wire, spacers, clips, or welding techniques.
• Ensure correct placement and spacing according to engineering drawings and safety codes.
• Assist with concrete pouring by ensuring steel structures are properly held in place.
• Work closely with other construction workers such as formworkers and concrete pourers.
• Follow site safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment.

• Proven experience as a steel fixer or similar role in construction.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Proficient in using cutting, bending, and tying tools.
• Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and working in challenging environments.

• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in construction.
• Vocational training or apprenticeship in steel fixing or construction (preferred).
