System Administrator & IT Support
The System Administrator & IT Support is responsible for maintaining the company’s IT systems, providing technical support to users, ensuring system security, and managing network infrastructure, servers, and software to ensure smooth business operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. System Administration
Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and applications.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control.
Monitor system performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
Perform system updates, patches, and upgrades.
2. IT Support
Provide technical support to employees for hardware, software, and network issues.
Troubleshoot problems related to computers, printers, networks, and applications.
Install and configure new computers, laptops, and IT equipment.
Support email systems and office applications.
3. Network Management
Maintain LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi networks, and internet connectivity.
Configure and manage routers, switches, and firewalls.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
4. Cybersecurity
Implement and maintain security policies and procedures.
Manage antivirus, firewall, and endpoint security systems.
Monitor systems for security threats and vulnerabilities.
Ensure data protection and backup systems are functioning.
5. Backup & Data Management
Perform regular system and data backups.
Ensure disaster recovery procedures are available and tested.
Maintain data integrity and system logs.
6. IT Asset Management
Maintain an inventory of IT equipment and software licenses.
Track IT assets such as computers, printers, routers, and software.
Coordinate with the procurement department for new IT purchases.
7. Documentation
Maintain documentation for IT systems, configurations, and procedures.
Prepare IT reports and system status updates.
