Systems Operator for a food production industry.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure end-to-end batch coding and traceability from receiving to dispatch, support the production line by entering required data, execute food-safety instructions, and operate relevant systems.
• Works with: Planning, Warehousing, Quality
Operate ERP system and enter transactions, link batches, and produce operational reports.
Coding, Labeling & Traceability:
• Create item and batch codes; print/apply bar-code/QR labels at receiving, production,and packaging points.
• Document forward/backward trace from raw materials to finished goods and enable rapid reverse lookup.
• Record production/warehouse transactions and link each batch to its raw and packaging
materials in the ERP.
• Reconcile batch data
• Inventory Counting & Automation
• Perform cycle counts and periodic inventories using bar-code scanners, report quantity
variances and follow up on causes, and prepare rapid trace packs.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering, Production/Mechatronics Technology, Management
Information Systems, Food Science/Technology, or Supply Chain; or a relevant diploma
with factory experience.
• 5+ years in manufacturing (preferably food), with hands-on experience in coding,
traceability, and ERP user operations.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs)
• Knowledge: Coding & traceability principles; HACCP/ISO basics; roasting fundamentals
and key metrics; inventory principles.
• Skills: Accurate data entry; basic data analysis; structured documentation; ERP
(warehouse/inventory) as a user; bar-code printing/scanning; Excel/Google Sheets.
• Abilities: High attention to detail; time management; follow-through and closure.
• Languages:English, Arabic (beginner or above)
Work Conditions & Safety
• Food-manufacturing environment with strict controls for machinery, gas, ventilation,
and hygiene.
• Frequent use of bar-code scanners and label printers; work near roasting and packing
lines and within warehouses.
