Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Testing & Commissioning Engineer of Electrical Distribution network in Saudi Electricity Company. The Testing & Commissioning Engineer will have day-to-day tasks such as testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems. The right candidate must be able to perform:
Medium voltage system/Low Voltage system and switchgear, testing & commissioning.
Must be able to perform VLF, IR, Partial Discharge, Tan-Delta, Cable fault location & identification.
Performs field service tasks, identifies technical problems and solves it at on-site activity.
Prepares all documents and Site reports to be signed by the consultants & Client, utilize all relevant tools & test equipment.
Executing Service work according to Client work order and expectation within define timeline.
Detecting insulation faults.
Inspection / testing of existing UG equipment, using thermal cameras / digital cameras / partial discharge / VLF / Hi-Pot and submission a report for the equipment condition as per SEC requirements.
Testing of HV cable using VLF and submission of required reports as per SEC requirements.
Testing of IR for HV cable and submission of required reports as per SEC requirements.
Determine the route / identification of an existing MV & LV cable, any type/size Using SEC approved devices /tools.
Testing of PD offline for HV cable and submission of required reports as per SEC requirements.
Testing of TAN-DELTA for HV cable and submission of required reports as per SEC requirements.
Localization of MV cable fault any size / type.
Localization of LV cable fault any size / type.
Three phase transformer turns ratio test.
Inspection and testing of battery / charger for MV bulk customer switchgear (MRMU).
Ready for immediate traveling to job locations.
Applies safety rules and safe practices. Reports unsafe practices and incidents.
Qualifications
Electrical Testing, Commissioning Engineers, and Electrical Engineering skills
Experience in Testing and Troubleshooting of electrical systems
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
With 5 Years Experience in field service
Fluent in English is required (Arabic is advantage)
Experience with transformers, switchgear, and protection, and experience working in the distribution network of Saudi Electricity Company.
