* Job Purpose
Provide focused leadership to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient operations of the Ethylene Cracker Plant. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, improving plant efficiency, optimizing resources, and ensuring high-quality, sustainable production while maintaining compliance with process safety and regulatory standards.
* Job Summary
The Production Superintendent will lead plant operations for the Ethylene Cracker unit, ensuring smooth daily activities, troubleshooting issues, supporting turnaround (TAM) planning, and driving continuous improvement. The role requires close coordination with cross-functional teams to align with organizational goals, manage change, and enhance plant reliability and performance.
* Education / Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering.
* Experience Requirements
* 12+ years of exp. in Ethylene Cracker Plant operations (any relevant steam cracking technology).
Proven expertise plant startup,shutdown & turnaround management (TAM).
Strong background in troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), change management, risk assessment, and process safety.
Exp. in managing production monitoring, chemical inventory, mass balance, daily operational controls.
* Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot operational issues and develop effective solutions.
Ensure compliance with EHHS, RC, and government regulations.
Lead and oversee RCAs, technical investigations.
Review and optimize maintenance and PM (preventive maintenance) strategies in coordination with maintenance and reliability teams.
Support turnaround (TAM) planning, implementation.
Ensure compliance with Management of Change (MOC) procedures for all process, equipment, and operational changes.
Report and address plant performance killers, bad actors, sustainability KPIs.
* Nice-to-Have Skills
* Proficiency in Power BI, Aspen HYSYS, SAP LMS, Honeywell Uniformance, and Microsoft Office.
* Familiarity with plant interlock and protection systems.
