✅ Job Responsibilities:
Surface Preparation:
Clean and scrape walls, ceilings, or surfaces to remove dust, old paint, and loose materials.
Fill cracks, holes, and joints using plaster, putty, or filler.
Sand and smooth surfaces to ensure proper paint adhesion.
Apply sealers or primers to improve durability and finish.
Paint Mixing & Color Matching:
Mix paints, varnishes, or stains to achieve desired color and consistency.
Follow specifications for color, type, and number of coats as per project requirements.
Paint Application:
Apply paint using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment on interior and exterior surfaces.
Ensure even coverage, correct thickness, and smooth finish.
Follow safety protocols for working at heights or in confined spaces when painting walls and ceilings.
Quality Assurance:
Inspect painted surfaces for uniformity, color consistency, and finish quality.
Perform necessary touch-ups or rework to meet site standards and specifications.
Ensure paint edges are clean and transitions between surfaces are precise.
Tool & Material Handling:
Maintain and clean painting tools (brushes, rollers, sprayers).
Store paints, thinners, and chemicals according to safety standards.
Report material usage and assist in estimating paint and supply requirements.
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance:
Wear appropriate PPE (masks, gloves, overalls).
Follow safety procedures for handling chemicals and working in hazardous environments.
Dispose of waste paint, solvents, and containers safely.
Coordination & Communication:
Coordinate with other trades (e.g., plasterers, electricians) to avoid rework.
Communicate progress or delays to supervisors.
