Job Summary
We are seeking a results-driven Process Engineer with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering and relevant experience in water treatment, industrial wastewater treatment, advanced oxidation processes, and filtration systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in process design, optimization, troubleshooting, commissioning, and technical support for water and wastewater treatment projects.
Key Responsibilities
Design, evaluate, and optimize treatment processes for water purification and industrial wastewater treatment plants.
Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs, mass balance calculations, and process design documentation.
Support selection and sizing of equipment such as pumps, tanks, filters, membranes, dosing systems, and oxidation reactors.
Provide technical expertise in advanced oxidation technologies such as ozone, UV, hydrogen peroxide, Fenton, or similar systems.
Monitor and improve performance of filtration systems including multimedia filters, activated carbon filters, cartridge filters, UF/RO pre-treatment, and related technologies.
Conduct plant troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans to improve efficiency and reliability.
Support commissioning, start-up, and performance testing of treatment systems.
Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and operations teams for project execution.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, safety standards, and client specifications.
Prepare technical proposals, reports, operating manuals, and client presentations when required.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost optimization, process efficiency, and sustainability.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering (mandatory).
Minimum 3–7 years of experience in water treatment / industrial wastewater treatment systems.
Strong knowledge of advanced oxidation processes (AOP) and chemical treatment technologies.
Hands-on experience in filtration systems and process equipment selection.
Good understanding of biological, chemical, and physical treatment methods.
Experience in process calculations, design software, and engineering documentation.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in zero liquid discharge (ZLD), reuse systems, or desalination projects.
Familiarity with Saudi Arabian industrial/environmental standards.
Experience in commissioning and plant operations.
Knowledge of AutoCAD, HYSYS, Aspen, or similar engineering tools.
